<div>Our beloved Sam Allen, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend — has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a rare and progressive lung disease that causes scarring of the lungs and makes it increasingly difficult to breathe.

<div>Since his diagnosis, Sam has been traveling multiple times a week to Portland for testing and treatment. Now, he must begin traveling 200 miles every week to Boston for advanced testing and preparing for what we hope will be a life-saving double lung transplant.

<div>This transplant is his best chance at reclaiming his health and continuing to be here for the people who love him so deeply.

<div>Unfortunately, this comes with a significant financial burden — including travel expenses, hotel stays, gas, meals, and time away from work.
