Donation protected
Your 1 donation helps 2 families!
Today, I come to you with a heart full of urgency and hope. We need your help for Samah and her brother Hosam, two siblings caught in the devastation of war in Gaza. Their 2 families, including 10 precious children, are in desperate need of our support to escape the ruins of their lives and find safety in Egypt, to feel safe again and start a new life. See some spots of their life in war and before. The funds collected via GoFundMe are collected by a trusted person (which is the organizer given above) in Germany and will be transferred directly to Samah and Hosam. Even if the border remains closed, your generosity will provide for their daily essentials and aid in rebuilding their lives. We promise to keep you updated every step of the way. The contact is close and hope is kept up to find Samah's husband in a good condition. Because the closure of the border, we changed the former title from "to evacuate" to "to Survive and Live in Safety", but we hope very much for a ceasefire and to achieve our funding goal until a reopening for evacuation. We cannot expect the border fees to be quite cheaper then, so we urgently need your ongoing support, in case the border will be reopened with less fees we ensure you that your donations will be used for their travel expenses and daily needs. And in case that for any circumstances they could not leave Gaza we ensure that your donations will be used to cover their daily needs and a rebuilding, and of course we will inform you about everything going on. Please, help us to reach our goal, every small donation also brings a piece of hope.
This is the story of Samah and Hosam written by a family member:
Samah and Hosam, the youngest siblings in their family, share a bond that transcends words. Their connection radiates joy, laughter, and love, filling any space they occupy with warmth and comfort.
On that fateful day, October 7th, as they fled their homes together, Hosam's presence was Samah's anchor amidst chaos, while Samah's presence infused Hosam with a glimmer of hope amid uncertainty.
But fate, relentless in its cruelty, soon intervened. On October 21st, Hosam, driven by dire circumstances, ventured southward in search of shelter, leaving behind a heartbroken Samah who clung to the hope of their reunion. However, the very path that once united them now stood impassable, cruelly severing their bond.
Separated by distance yet united in hardship, Samah and Hosam endure the same trials—fear gnawing at their hearts, hunger gnawing at their bodies. Samah, sheltering in her partially damaged home, yearns for the safety she believes Hosam has found in the south. Little does she know, Hosam, too, faces the harsh reality of displacement, his once sturdy abode reduced to rubble, now seeking refuge in a tent in Rafah city.
Each passing moment is a painful reminder of their separation. Samah's longing for Hosam echoes through the empty spaces, while Hosam's heart aches in tandem with hers.
Their dream is simple yet profound: to reunite under the same sky, to rebuild their shattered lives, and to provide their children with the gift of education. With Samah's expertise as an English teacher, they aspire to nurture a brighter future for their beloved offspring.
Let us stand in solidarity with Samah and Hosam, advocating for their safe passage from Gaza to Egypt, where they can finally embrace each other and begin anew. Together, let us restore the joy and love that once graced our lives in their presence.
Please, stay with us in solidarity, and also share our fundraising, every small contribution will help reaching our goal together.
