<div>This is Sam he is a rescue and we think he is border collie, lab, pit bull mix of some sort! But he is for sure 100% good boy and such a sweetheart! He will be 2 in November and is still definitely a puppy! He loves to play frisbee and splash in the river and most of all cuddle his humans. He loves to snack on all kinds of fruits and veggies and accompanies his mama to the farmers market every week! But his favorite snack is baby bell cheeses if he hear the crinkle he comes running. He loves to camp and hike with his humans too!

<div>Sam was taken to the vet Sunday and quickly referred to an ophthalmologist. After a CT scan we learned Sam was likely shot when he was dumped in the middle of nowhere and left for dead this past winter before we adopted him at the end of April. He still has bullet fragments and two fractures in his skull! He has been living with this since this past winter without any sign until his eye swelled up really badly and so they went in to drain an abscess behind his eye and all the swelling around his face to make him more comfortable. Sam will need to be on multiple antibiotics for at least the next 6 months to make sure the infection does spread to his brain through the fractures. Poor baby!! He will also need to have another CT done at some point to monitor his progress and see if the skull fractures have healed. We are so glad we adopted Sam and can give him the love and medical treatment he deserves but honestly aren’t in a place to bare this financial burden alone. Because we was found and fostered by good samaritans we don’t have a rescue to help support his medical bills. Sam would be forever grateful for any help you are able to give in monetary form or if you feel called to share his story! Thank you
