Help Sam Get to Pan Ams!

Samantha Garcia, from Harbor Judo Dojo, has done judo for almost 2 years now. Since she started, she has practiced 3-5 nights a week with an intensity and desire to become the best judoka she can be. She excels in setting goals for herself and achieving them. Sam started off the year with a dream to be ranked #1 in her division in the nation and to make her first junior team. This is a feat difficult to do- especially to someone still relatively new to the sport of judo. This past summer, Samantha achieved this dream by earning gold medals in the 2018 Golden State Open in California, the USJF/USJA Junior Nationals in Michigan, and the US Open International in Florida. She is now the top ranked player in the Intermediate 2 -34 kg weight division in the United States. This qualifies her to travel to Guayaquil, Ecuador to represent the USA at the Infantile Pan American Games. It is an honor and huge accomplishment to be able to compete at this tournament and Samantha is currently training very hard to bring home the gold for her country. 

This trip is entirely self funded and a judoka’s journey is not an inexpensive one. We are fundraising for her to be able to achieve her dreams.
