<div>I am a professional guitar technician, goldsmith, and artist who has been living and working from my home since 1996. I live with my gorgeous dog, Obi. I was a roommate of a good friend who had originally secured this rental. My friend got married and moved out, so I took on the lease and have lived here since.

<div>My original landlord was a kind, generous man who encouraged my craft and artistry. He was a world-class woodworker and furniture maker. He taught me how to work wood for guitar bodies and how to use various power tools correctly.

<div>Unfortunately, he passed on a few years ago.

<div>I live in a 2-house compound on Jay St. In the early 2000s, I helped a couple move in next door. They were moving to California but got stranded after an auto accident and decided to make a go of it in Santa Fe. A really great, creative, and talented team.

<div>After the landlord died, we both feared we would have to move. Luckily, the realtor took a shine to us. She loved our work and how entrenched we are in the art and music scene in town. She went to bat for us with the probate lawyer. He proposed that if one of us could get financing, the court would allow the sale of the compound.

<div>They bought the property, and I got to stay also... for a while.

<div>Last year, they informed me they were splitting up and told me I have till the end of May 2025 to find a new home.

</div>

<div>They gave me ample warning (God bless them!), yet with the slow economy, inflation, and various other factors, I was just scraping by for many months. I have been able to save for a first and last but not enough for a deposit. Additionally, most places won't allow pets or charge pet rent. Obi is my little lady and needs to live with me, so I have to pay extra to keep us together. I also have very heavy tools that I will need to hire a mover.
