In Loving Memory of Saketh Sreenivasaiah – A Bright Future Gone Too Soon

With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, we share the tragic loss of Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a 22-year-old student from Karnataka, India, whose life and dreams were cut short far too soon.

Saketh was a brilliant, hardworking, and humble young man who believed in the power of education to transform lives. After earning his BTech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, he pursued his dream of higher education in the United States. He was a master’s student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley—one of the world’s most prestigious institutions.

He carried not only his own aspirations but also the hopes of his entire family.

Tragically, Saketh went missing near Lake Anza in the Berkeley hills and, after days of searching, was found deceased. His sudden and heartbreaking passing has left his family, friends, and community in deep shock and grief.

This loss is unimaginable.

Saketh was a loving son and a source of pride and hope for his family. Like many international students, he had journeyed far from home with dreams of building a better future—not just for himself, but for those who depended on him.

Now, his family is facing an overwhelming emotional and financial burden.

They must cope with:
• The immense grief of losing a beloved son
• The unexpected costs related to repatriation and funeral arrangements
• Additional financial strain during this devastating time

No family should have to endure such pain alone—especially thousands of miles away from where their child spent his final days.
