My mother and father, Sabrina and Steve Hamburg, are in need of funds for treatments to prevent my mother from going blind.
In 2006, my mom was diagnosed with Glaucoma, an eye disease that cuts off circulation of blood to the eyes and builds up intense amounts of pressure on the optic nerve. As the disease progresses, peripheral vision is continuously lost until blindness occurs.
Recently, my mom had laser surgery on her eyes at the recommendation of her optometrist. She is also using prescribed eye drops to lower the pressures in her eyes. Regardless, the pressures continue to escalate. She has tried everything her doctors have suggested and nothing is working.
