Hi, my name is Elizabeth, and my fiancé Sabino and I need your help to protect a sweet dog we took in to save from abuse.

Back in June, Sabino's sister and her boyfriend were arrested for drug impairment with a child present. They had been living in a van with their child and two dogs. After their arrest, we stepped in to care for the child and the dogs, as no one else could. One dog found a loving home, and we took in the pitbull to ensure his safety, especially after learning of abuse from the boyfriend.

Despite our efforts to protect the dog, Sabino's sister demanded his return and threatened to involve the police. The police confirmed the dog is legally ours since we’ve been his caregivers for nearly five months. Now, the boyfriend is suing us for $4,000, and we’ve been subpoenaed to court. We’re seeking legal help to fight for this dog’s safety and keep him out of harm’s way. The stress of the whole situation has weighed on our hearts for the last 5 months, and affected our daily lifes, but we are committed to doing whats right.

I am the only one working full time in our home, while my fiancé is going to college to help create a better future for us, so we do our best to get by. But the support we recieve will go toward lawyer fees, and court costs to make sure this sweet dog stays in a good/safe home.
