Help Ryan's family with farewell arrangements

Hi, my name is George Brown and I am a long time friend (20 + years) of Ryan Schaefers and his family.  We are all devastated by the news of Ryan's passing.  I have visited with and been in close communication with Ryan's family, who are all at a loss for words and are grieving. As many of you can imagine, losing a loved one so suddenly makes the process of planning a memorial difficult.  We are creating this GoFundMe account to help ease some of the burden.  If you are wondering how to help during this difficult time, please consider making a donation to support Ryan's mother, sister, long time girlfriend, and his two young sons and their older siblings. 

 

Ryan was born and raised in the Bay Area.  He had a great affection for the outdoors and enjoyed adventurous outings with friends.  In 2007, Ryan was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff in Santa Clara County.  He worked various patrol assignments until 2018 and was a part of the Sheriff's Off-Road Enforcement Team.  Ryan was liked and admired by all those who worked with him.  In 2018 Ryan moved to Lake County to be closer to his  family and children.  Ryan is survived by his long time partner Jenna, their two young boys Connor & Auggie and their older siblings Kamden and Grayson, his mother Marlene, his sister Kathy, as well as his extended family.  Ryan is fondly remembered as someone with an infectious smile and a kind heart with a insurmountable appetite for meats and cheeses.  

The funds raised will be given to Ryan's long time girlfriend and mother of Ryan's two sons Connor and Auggie. I am a close friend, Ryan was like family to me and so they will forever be family as well.  I will be directly transferring the money to Jenna's bank account as funds are raised and/or hand deliver cash to her.
