On August 31st at 10:00pm in Brooklyn, a fire broke out in our apartment building, forcing us—Ryan Kasper, Riley Payne, and our cat Puck—to make an emergency evacuation. After living in this home for 5 years, it is heartbreaking to say goodbye to both our apartment and the majority of our belongings. Riley was able to briefly enter to collect a few items, but most items likely going to need replacements.

Due to the extreme nature of the fire, our apartment is no longer inhabitable. We are creating this emergency fund to help us cover immediate needs such as housing, essentials, and care for Puck while we navigate this difficult transition.
