<div>With tears in my eyes, I’m writing this for my good friends Shea and Kainoa, and especially little Rusty Kanahele… I’m so upset, <strong>Rusty has cancer (leukemia) and needs our help</strong>. He really is the sweetest little boy. Sometimes apples fall far from the tree, eh Kainoa?! I’m kidding… Kainoa will literally give you his only jacket in a blizzard, but he won’t ask others for help, which is why I’m doing it for him. Shealyn is one of the most down to earth sweethearts as well, raised by an incredibly fun and loving family on Kauai. These are good people, and <strong>they need all the financial support we can collectively muster</strong>. Hotels, airfare, medicine, treatment, etc… Medical care is really just so outrageously over the top expensive in America these days!!!

<div>That being said, they began their journey today and little Rusty is literally fighting for his life. He just received his 1st round of chemotherapy a few hours ago and sadly has many more to come. The hair and appetite are the 1st things to go. Oftentimes morale and hope are next. I know first hand how devastating cancer can be having experienced it for 7 yrs straight in a dark Honolulu hospital room watching my poor tutu courageously battle away. Typically the poor patient suffers the most, but in this particular case, these loving parents may actually be suffering just as much or possibly more. It’s hard to think clearly when your kids are in pain. Hopefully we can come together and help ease it somewhat in their time of need. Rusty needs us and truly deserves it! Any donation will be greatly appreciated by these guys big time!!! This is a curable disease, I truly believe Rusty is gonna kick cancer’s butt, but it’s not a sprint, it’s a costly marathon…
