I’m raising funds to help my family recover after a devastating fire destroyed our farm shop and much of what we depended on to operate our farm. In a matter of moments, we lost the building where we worked every day along with all of the tools, equipment, and supplies inside it. The damage reached far beyond the shop itself. We also lost all of the chicken, lamb, and beef we had stored in our freezers, as well as the seed we had spent the season collecting and preparing for sale. The heat from the fire damaged roughly 30% of our tree nursery, and it was intense enough to melt the siding on our house nearby. So many parts of our farm were hit at once, and the loss has affected both our work and our livelihood. 
 
 
 Right now, our goal is not to replace everything we lost. Much of what was destroyed took decades to build, and we know that cannot happen overnight. What we are asking for is help getting operational again. The funds from this fundraiser will go toward replacing the basic hand tools, power tools, welding and repair equipment, and other essential items we need every day to keep the farm running. We also need to re-establish a basic workspace so we can begin working again and start rebuilding one step at a time.
