My horse, Ruger, of 7 years, has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of his right eye. Surgery to remove the eye with the cancer should be curative. Anything is appreciated to help get him cancer-free! He is only 13 years old and has a whole lot more to give; not to mention he has gotten me through a lot over the years and he deserves the best I can offer him.

All funds will be going to pay for surgery and transportation.

Ruger has been my rock and place of solace when the world has been crazy. He started as a feisty 6 yo when we first started together. We had a lot of firsts together (including a concussion!). Together we have bonded and grown. From sorting cows, to jumping and beach rides, we have done a little bit of everything and he has become a steady partner. I was riding him when I got engaged, so there are many big memories he has been apart of. He has done so much for my mental health and I won't give up on him. I hope to have him as a part of my family until he is ready to cross the rainbow bridge, but that time is not now.
