Help my Rudy

At the beginning of October of 2013, I adopted my baby Rudy from the Humane Society. He was found abandoned by previous owners, and now knowing how much he has to be by my side 24/7, it kills me knowing the life he had before I found him. On Halloween, Rudy suffered from two seizures, so I rushed him to the emergency vet. The vet insisted that a full work up should be done to find what was causing the seizures. After $700 worth of tests, they couldn't find any reason for his seizures, so he was sent home. Then on Thanksgiving, he had another seizure, so the vet led me to believe he has epilepsy to avoid running more tests considering I already had a steep vet bill to pay from the previous visit.
On New Years eve, Rudy was attacked by a large breed dog and suffered from severe injuries. I rushed him to the emergency vet where his injuries were evaluated and he was rushed into surgery. The vet let me know that Rudy had a major hernia through his abdomen, and his muscle was severely shredded. The vet gave me the option of euthanization, or more surgery to permanently fix his hernia and assess any organ damage. For the surgery I would have to pay a $3,000 deposit, and then up to $5,000 depending on his injuries on top of $1600 for his first surgery. I work at a restaurant and simply cannot afford his bills right now. I took Rudy home and I have been taking care of him for days and I would appreciate any help I could get so I can pay Rudy's vet bills and possibly more surgery. I love him so much and couldn't bear the thought of losing him! Thank you all so much for listening to Rudy's story. This poor boy just doesn't have any luck on holidays :(
