Help Rudsdale HS's Immigrant Youth During COVID19

Greetings Rudsdale friends, family, and community,
Please help our students survive the COVID19 shelter-in-place! Since March 16th, Rudsdale Newcomer High School has been shut down and will remain closed for the remainder of the academic school year.

We are a small continuation high school in Oakland, CA and our school serves immigrant students who have been in the U.S. for 4 years or less. Our school offers students a path to a high school diploma, access to social services, community college, and work-based learning experiences. Many of our students are undocumented, unaccompanied-minors or asylum-seekers. Our current students are from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Belize. Some were reunited with families, while most are alone in the U.S. or living with temporary sponsors.
Since the COVID19 shelter-in-place, our students have lost their jobs and are struggling to afford rent, food, utilities/bills, and basic supplies. We are in need of hand sanitizer, hand soap, cleaning wipes and spray, groceries, money for rent/ utilities, and laundry detergent. Our students have lost access to daily meals, transportation, internship stipends, mental health services, employment, and they need our help!
Our Goal:
Please help us fundraise $50,000 by July 31st! We need to support our students through the summer. *How the funds will be spent? Funds will be deposited into an account and then Natalie will distribute funds to students in cash, Visa gift card, supplies, etc. ***ALL DONATIONS will be distributed directly to students by Natalie**
