Hi everyone,
 My name is Danielle Dunne and I’m a 24 year old graduate student. I have two dogs, and my love for animals surpasses everything. My dog Ruby has been with me since I rescued her from a bad situation in 2020.
 On March 21st, 2024 at approximately 6:30 PM I got home from school and found Ruby in the middle of a grand mal seizure. I rushed her to Metropolitan Animal Hospital and she was admitted for a cluster seizure episode. She had no previous seizure history. After speaking with the very kind vet staff, we did a full blood panel and decided to move forward with an MRI to try and determine the cause of the seizures. 

 The next day, March 22nd, the neurology team contacted me and told me that they had found a mass within her brain. There was a ton of inflammation surrounding the mass, so the neurology team were unable to make detailed diagnosis of the tumor. A spinal tap was preformed to rule out any underlying issues. The team told me that the only treatment options available for her will be radiation therapy or palliative (hospice) care. 
 I have had a consultation with MedVet Columbus about radiation treatment, and we are looking at a cost of over $15,000 for the treatment, CT, and other associated fees. I am struggling after her $6,000 initial emergency visit, and it won’t be possible for me to have the radiation treatment performed without having funds raised. Ruby is only 7 years old and has a ton of life ahead of her. Without the treatment, her life expectancy is 6-8 months.
