<div>In the latter half of 2024, Rotko was kicked out of their home by their roommate with zero notice whatsoever - at a time they only had limited savings, while also dealing with a leg injury -

<div>As a result, they've had to deal with less than ideal living situations (such as staying at the YMCA) and quite a lot of bouncing around between housing situations, while also incurring unforeseen expenses:

<li>Transit costs (traveling from temporary Toronto housing to their job in Hamilton)
</li>
<li>Having to take time off of work to due to both the previously mentioned injury and subsequent injuries

<div>While normally able to cover rental and living costs - with or without employment - via access to the Canada Ontario Portable Housing Benefit and ODSP, dealing with the stress from recent events while also managing chronic pain has made it difficult for them to secure either the time or the funds necessary to secure reliable, long-term housing.
