Hi there,
I'm reaching out to raise much needed funds for my Aunty Ros.
7 years ago she was a victim of a horrific head on car accident.
She has been in an exhausting legal battle with an insurance company and still hasn't been compensated 7 years on.
She went from being a healthy wife, mother and grandmother, enjoying life in country Millicent with a comfortable collective income to now living week to week and money is slipping through their hands with expenses, lawyer fees, etc not to mention the stress and severe mental and emotional turmoil that she and her family have endured.
A man from another country came around the corner on the wrong side of the road in a hire vehicle and ended up collecting them, my Aunty taking the brunt. He was able to leaving Australia.
She sustained multiple life threatening injuries some included multiple fractures, shattered and displaced internal organs, shocking blood loss, traumatic brain injury, shock, sepsis, collapsed lungs and blood clots, gastrostomy and multiple drain tubes, tracheostomy mechanical ventilation. Approx 37 blood transfusions and multiple surgeries, splenectomy, laparotomies, suturing of shattered and lacerated organs, holes in diaphragm and small bowel, abscesses and haematomas plus more!
She spent 9 months in hospital and has a very diminished quality of life moving forward with constant pain, out of pocket expenses racking up, attending weekly medical appointments not to mention not being able to work and drive. Her independence has been destroyed.
I'm pleading out of sheer desperation to anyone who can spare any amount as she and her family would be very grateful. We want her to be able to sustain a quality of life and take the financial stress and burden away so she can get back to living the best life she can.
