<div>I hope I do this justice and write the words that penetrate every soul who reads this. I am simply a son trying to save his mother's life. My mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, and has a case of ascites. She hasn't been able to keep down any food or liquids. She has been vomiting bile nonstop for weeks. Doctors say there is not much they can do other then give her pain meds and IVs. They drain the fluid in her abdomen once a week to relieve her pain, but it comes back. She has a nephrostomy tube in her kidneys that are replaced every two weeks. These compounding issues appeared after going through chemotherapy.

<div>My mother was a healthy woman, with no major issues. Then one day she could barely keep her head up. My family and I would like to explore alternative health therapies as a means of treatment. These treatments have been used by others to heal from serious conditions in the past. I understand for some this can be a point of contention, but I must say I'm not looking to get into a back and forth debate on the internet. Whether you believe there is any benefit to alternative health therapies should not be your focal point. But rather, if you or a loved one has experienced what cancer and conventional treatments can do to a person looking for a cure, I implore you to open your heart and your wallet for anything you can donate.

<div>I'm an artist by nature. My ability to tap into my emotions can be overwhelming at times. So much so, that I didn't want to allow myself to feel. Why? Because I would have to admit that this is my reality. The news of my mother's condition, has shaken me. I had to put on a brave face for my mother, and do everything within my power to make sure I leave no stone unturned when it comes to her treatment. I did the one thing I've been conditioned to do for the last 20 years, which is begin to write. I started writing, not knowing what would come of it, but loe and behold, one line came after the other, and before I knew it, I had a fully written song dedicated to my mother.
