Our beloved Aunt Rosa has always been the joyful soul of any occasion, brightening up every room with her infectious laughter, her unique wit, and her good humor. She has not only been a fighter, an exemplary mother, daughter, aunt, and friend, but she has also dedicated herself to the unconditional work of being the best grandmother and maternal figure to one of her grandchildren who requires special care, which Rosa has offered with everything within her power, amidst the deprived circumstances they face in Venezuela.
Rosa has always reached out to those in need, giving beyond her limits with her kind heart. However, Rosa was recently diagnosed with advanced thyroid cancer, resulting in the URGENT need for surgery to combat it.
Her medical diagnosis is grade 6 papillary thyroid carcinoma, requiring surgery for a total thyroidectomy, intraoperative biopsy, and urgent cervical examination.
She will also subsequently require a second operation to remove a pleomorphic adenoma of the left parotid gland, which is at increased risk due to its size and growth.
The required surgery, while offering hope, also represents an overwhelming financial obstacle. The cost of the medical procedures, coupled with the necessary postoperative care, far exceeds what Rosa and her loved ones can afford.
