Help Rory Pay for His Health Insurance

I'm a 20 year old mentally ill trans guy from Texas. I've been in treatment for my mental illnesses, which include c-PTSD, bipolar II, GAD, OCD, ADHD, and an eating disorder, for the past 7 years. While my mental health has greatly improved, I'm on a variety of medications, see my psychiatrist every month or two, and still see my therapist every week. That, paired with expenses related to being on testosterone, gets incredibly expensive without insurance, especially since one of my medications (vyvanse) is $350 a month without it. Averaged out, not including the vyvanse, my medical expenses are over $400 a month without insurance.

I'm a third year biochemistry major with a teaching minor, and am only able to work about 12-15 hours a week right now, and even then I'm already swamped. I'm able to get insurance through my university, and it covers all of my medications and my doctor visits, even for things related to me being trans. This insurance averages out to about $232 a month, which is close to an entire paycheck for me.

No one of my family is in a position to help me with insurance. Not having insurance means having to go off of vyvanse, which have wildly improved my ability to function in my day-to-day life. It also potentially means going off of testosterone, because I can't afford testosterone and the related doctor appointments if I don't have insurance. 

There was a period of about 2 months last fall when I was uninsured. Without a key component of my medication regimen, I fell apart. This wasn't even without my testosterone. I'm incredibly scared of what may happen if I am unable to afford both testosterone and vyvanse, or unable to afford even more of my medications. 


I'm desperate and terrified here, and honestly anything will help. Thank you.
