Help Rong Han's family

Hi, my name is Richard Lu and I am fundraising for Rong Han’s family on their behalf.

It is with great sadness that I share with you the news of the passing of Rong Han (韩荣) due to aggressive cancer in the morning of January 23th, 2022, at the age of 33. Obviously brilliant as a young student from the western part of China, Gansu (甘肃省), Ron graduated from the Ph.D. program at Fudan University Children’s Hospital in 2018, and had joined Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as a visiting scholar since 2019. She was a highly dedicated scientist devoting to biomedical research, beloved colleague, friend and daughter. Rong was the only child in her family and left behind her mother, a cancer survivor, who has arrived in Cincinnati to take care of her, and her handicapped father with poor health.

With all of the emotional pain and stress that death brings, it also brings many burdens. As friends, we would like to ease any stress and financial burdens for Rong’s family caused by any outstanding cost or what comes afterward. Please share your love and care by contributing. This fund will be used to help with any costs that will incur with a funeral/memorial and to assist her mother with the everyday expenses and her trip expense back to China. We would like to help Rong’s family to make it through in these times of loss and sadness, and keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
