I have started this Gofundme for my very good friend Emily Gray. She is an amazing Indie Romance Author that is going through one of the toughest periods of her life. She, and her three kids, are no longer safe in their home, and they have fled with whatever they could fit in the car and the clothes on their backs. They are currently safe, but very soon Emily will have to find a job and a permanent home for herself and her family.
Unfortunately, Covid 19 has increased cases of domestic abuse. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home. It's an incredibly tough time for so many of us--money is tight everywhere, so I don't ask this lightly. Right now, Emily has a small income from writing, no home, and three kids to support. The person who is responsible for the family’s pain has cleaned out the bank account and changed the locks. Along with overcoming the fear, negativity, and overall gas lighting she has had to endure--she needs money. The most pressing is money for a deposit, first month's rent, and any extra that can carry her over until she can find a job. I humbly ask if you would consider donating whatever you can.
For those of you who know me, I have never done anything like this before. I take it very seriously, and I would never ask you to donate if it weren't absolutely necessary. At this point, I am trying to collect $2,000 to help jump start her new life. A life that will exclude a verbally abusive, controlling antagonist who never appreciated the amazing heroine he had in his life.
