Help Rod's Family Secure Lodging After Fire

Hi everyone, my name is Rod. I'm the founder of the website The 7th Matrix and the EYE ON SCI-FI Podcast.

 

 

On July 08, 2021, my family and I suffered the unimaginable: a fire that destroyed our residence and most of the material possessions we had. The most important thing is myself, my intellectually disabled younger brother, and my mom escaped alive and unharmed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Still, losing your home in such a manner is devastating. We are still coping with the mental and emotional shock of it all. Fortunately, we have renter's insurance, but due to bureaucracy, we are facing securing temporary housing until our insurance company settles our claim.

 

Hotels and temporary housing for three adults - including one with special needs - is expensive and we are nearing the exhaustion of our insurance's coverage provision for added living expenses.

 

We need your help.

 

We have found temporary lodging and the amount of $5,000 we are asking for in assistance will enable us to secure a furnished apartment for two months while we wait to settle with our insurance company - and it will give us more time to continue to look for a new, permanent residence.
