Help Rodell pay for his MFA

Hi, my name's Rodell Warner and I'm an artist from Trinidad and Tobago. I've just been accepted to an amazing Master's of Fine Art program that's gonna change my life but now I have to find a way to pay for it, and that's why I'm asking for your help!

I've been practicing and exhibiting all over the world for the last 15 years and my education has been entirely self-directed - I've been doing it all without a college degree. My earnings as a self-taught independent artist - income from sales, commissions, and exhibitions - are inconsistent, and I've wanted for years to get into a master's program as it would open doors for me professionally and allow me to earn at a higher level, and more consistently, but without an undergraduate degree, and with my family to consider (my wife & I have a 2-and-a-half year-old), my dream of completing an MFA has seemed like a long-shot. This program at Bard is special because I was able to apply using my career experience in place of an undergrad degree, and because it doesn't require me to be present in-person at the university all year round which means I can take my family with me and attend during the summer when my wife, a university professor, is on break from teaching.

The money from this fundraiser will go directly to tuition for my first year at Bard College ($18,000), and to housing ($5000) for my family and I during the two months we'll be in upstate New York this summer.
