<div>My name is Robert and I'm dealing with cancer. Half my jaw was removed and replaced with a graft from my shin bone. My teeth, which I've taken very good care of my whole life, were lost in the process of removing the infected bone. Insurance refused to cover the replacement of the teeth on the grounds that it is somehow a "cosmetic" procedure. I am trying to get dental implants as a lifetime solution to address this unexpected circumstance. The cost of implants on top of the amount I had to pay to reach my annual out of pocket maximum is more than I could afford, especially since I have missed several months of work due to the cancer and have several months more recovery ahead of me before I can work again.
