Help Rob Escape Homelessness and Create Survival Videos

Hi, my name is Rob, from the YouTube channel Rob The Nomad.
I’ve been documenting my life being homeless. From living in the woods in New York, to walking to West Virginia, to driving for FedEx (I quit due to unsafe vehicles/work practices and proved it to the DOL in WV), to now where I’m living in my car in Martinsburg, WV.
It’s been a lot of fun through the ups and downs over the last few years. I’ve gotten to know the viewers who follow along. I know a lot of them by name. They’re my family. I’ve gotten a feel for making videos and really enjoy it. And I want to do this for real, full time, and share with the world whatever I come across.
I’m trying to get to where I can do real survival videos and share what I know from actually living in the woods.
And ultimately get to where I can start giving back and helping people in areas I can. I’ve been contacting philanthropy organizations to try and figure out how to do that.
Helping others when I can is one of my favorite things to do. I have nothing in life, and helping always makes that go away.
I’ve been planning a homeless shelter that I think would actually work. That’s been a dream of mine for years!
I'm getting to the point where I can no longer DoorDash all day, every day. It’s taking a huge toll on my vehicle, and barely pays. Other delivery apps aren’t available and I have had no luck finding a job. I’m falling behind on bills, facing repossession, no time for YouTube, and sleeping in my car in this unbelievable relentless heat.
I’m asking for $10,000 ($5,000 here and on GiveSendGo) to completely get out of this situation and get to where I can create and post full time. My channel is already there, to where I can comfortably do it, but it’s not possible in this current predicament. I’m constantly breaking even and can’t get out.
The funds would be used for vehicle maintenance and tires, catching up payments (car/insurance/phone), protection for living in the woods, new camera and equipment (I use my phone), gear, etc. Plus food and expenses until I’m situated.
What will I provide?
Right now I have 3 YouTube channels, and have plans and the ability to use them all!
Rob The Nomad - Real survival from a real survivor. I don’t just want to do this, I have.
Regular videos of how to survive in the forest.
Personal Vlog
And see where it evolves!
Nomad Nature & Wildlife - I’ll start posting my nature videos here again, and on a regular basis. I want to make documentaries too!
Nomad Sleep - Just long videos of the greatest sounds/visuals on earth. Nature!
I’m also a pretty good drummer. As a loner and nomad, I’ve never really had a band or had to write, so I’ve learned hundreds of songs. And I’m a bit of a perfectionist.
The only channel I ever dreamed of having on YouTube was a drumming channel.
And I have an interest in comedy. One of these days I’m going to try stand up!
I really don’t expect much to happen. But I’ve tried everything I can and am asking for help. If I can’t make this happen, then it’ll be starting over again back at the homeless shelter and losing my car.
Thank you for reading, thank you for watching on YouTube, and thank you if you can help!
One of these days I will get to where I need to be!
