Help Rob build a well in PR

Donation protected

Rob is our friend - someone who has helped us with several house projects and has shared fresh eggs from his chickens, who live on his family homestead in Highland NY.   Many of his family members live in Puerto Rico.

In the past few weeks, Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria took turns decimating infrastructure, and the town of Guayama , where Rob's father, Gilberto Ortiz lives, is in ruins.   Aid is coming from all corners of the world to help rebuild the country, but it's a slow process.

Rob is planning to install a well and filtration system in his father's town so that people will have fresh drinking water.  The well will be solar-powered and will produce up to 5,000 gallons per day of potable drinking water for the community.  Rob has asked for our help getting the funds he needs to buy materials and rent the well-drilling truck.

He flies out on October 9, and our goal is give him the cash he needs to pay for equipment, machinery, and the security needed execute his plan.

Any extra funds will be used to buy minutes on the satellite phone Rob will take with him so that people in Guayama can make contact with their families and friends here on the mainland. He's the direct beneficiary of these funds for this campaign.

Thanks very much for helping us help him and his loved ones.
