Help Roanne get a Cochlear implant

When Roanne Kristoff Pait was 1 ½ years old, his parents noticed he had a hearing problem. They were advised to get him a pair of hearing aids but as time went by, his mother noticed that he was not hearing at all. His hearing test confirmed her suspicion. Roanne is now 5-years-old and is deaf.
His mother reached out to Dr. Lance E. Jackson at the Ear Institute of Texas via Facebook desperate to find anyone who could help her son. His mother works as a nurse in Ormoc City, Philippines and earns approximately $200 per month while his dad stays home and cares for him.
Dr. Jackson agreed to donate his surgery fees and St. Raphael’s Surgery Center agreed to allow the surgery to be performed at their facility at no charge. Dr. Jackson then completed an application to Cochlear America and requested the donation of the implant (approximately $40,000 value). The donation required that the recipient be a charitable organization so he reached out to Aid the Silent, a non-profit organization that assists hard of hearing and deaf children, who graciously agreed to help.
And then we waited and prayed. On August 31, 2017 we received Cochlear’s response:
“We are pleased to make a system donation to your organization for Roanne Kristoff Pait.”
There are more pieces to this puzzle. Dr. Jackson reached out to Dr. Jeremy Weirsig, radiologist, to review Roanne’s CT Scan and to Dr. John Jimenez, anesthesiologist, to waive his fees for surgery. Both doctors agreed to help.
We are now looking for a way for Roanne, his mom and his aunt to travel to San Antonio, TX. His tentative date for surgery is December 1, 2017. The tentative date for arrival is November 29, 2017 and they will return to the Philippines on December 3, 2017. We are asking you to help Roanne and his family fly from Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines to San Antonio, TX, USA. The approximate cost of each ticket is $1,500.00 per person so we are trying to raise a total of $4,500.00.
