I belong to a middle class family from Nepal and I was raised by my single mother, as my dad passed away when I was 10 year old due to another life threatening disease. I came here with dreams of building a better future for myself and my mother, who raised me as a single parent and is the only earning member of my family.

Being far from home, with no family in Canada, this journey has been incredibly difficult, both emotionally and financially. My mother, who is back in Nepal, is doing everything she can, but the cost of medical treatment and living expenses are overwhelming.
