<div>Hello! Many of you may know me online as Kit but my real name is Riley, and I am a trans woman. I am on the path to get my first gender affirming surgery!! On January 30th, 2026 I had my intake to get top surgery (breast augmentation).

<div>From the second I got the call to set up the intake and got to meet my surgeon, I was floored with excitement. However, it was not lost on me that this procedure was very dicey on the financial side of things.

<div>My insurance company, since top surgery is seen as an elective surgery, is only paying for a small chunk of the procedure even with two letters of recommendation, which means I have a lot more to cover. On top of the surgery costs, I am also going to need time away from work which will result in me losing my income for a small period of time (4-6 weeks) thus leaving me without rent and bill money.

<div>I will be purchasing medically necessary supplies to help the recovery go as smooth as possible. Things like front-closure compression tops/sports bras, extra bandages, medicine, and some things for proper hygiene to keep the healing areas clean and taken care of.
