Help Rich's Recycled Bikes & More Relocate

Introduction

 

Hello, my name is Michael J. Tomaso and I am the Assistant Manager at Rich's Recycled Bikes & More located at 3792 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, Florida. We are a family owned and operated business and we have been at this location since March of 2012 serving the needs of our community by offering bicycle repairs, parts, accessories and more at reasonable prices. A majority of our customer base is made up of working-class and low-income families on fixed incomes who rely upon their bicycles for transportation back and forth to school and work. By and through the services we offer; we ensure that each and every one of our customer's bicycles remain fully-operational and safe to ride.

 

Why We Need Your Help

 

On September 30, 2021, our landlord had advised us that we had 24 hours to vacate the premises without any prior advance notice in any medium.  The landlord was subsequently advised that such short notice was unlawful and subsequently provided us with sixty (60) days notice after-the-fact; giving us until November 30, 2021 to vacate our current location.

Fortunately, we were able to secure a new location about a mile and a half north of our current location.  It is located on the South side of U.S. 41 between the intersections of West Tarpon Blvd. and Port Charlotte Blvd.  Barring any unforeseen circumstances; we intend to re-open at our new location at 2751-B Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, Florida, 33952 on December 7, 2021.

 

For that reason, we are seeking donations in an effort to raise the funds, necessary to help us locate a new building to occupy; to move a business of this magnitude and to also have the funds, necessary to provide for the standard security deposit and first and last month's rent and for moving expenses, as well.
