Help get Rich and Nancy home!

I would like to start off that I'm Melissa Reichel, Rich and Nancys Niece. I am starting this go fund me because I believe Rich and Nancy need us all to help Rich fight. 

Many of you know that Rich and Nancy love to snowbird to Arizona for the winter. It's a time for them to relax, but to also get away from the cold long winters that Minnesota brings. While in Arizona this past winter Rich currently become very ill that has required hospitalization. We know that Rich has had previous medical setbacks due to his Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the blood), but with medication has battled through to recovery. Current Rich is still hospitalized In Arizona which is now over 3 months. He is on a ventilator and has had a tracheotomy procedure for respirator support. He has been receiving blood transfusions, antibiotics, dialysis, and other medical procedures to help combat an illness that doctors have not diagnosed. The family has been fighting to get him home, but the costs for transportation are extremely high. Since Rich is in Arizona, physicians and medical personnel are saying that it is not medically necessary to transport him. They say Arizona offers everything medically that he needs. There is one medicine it doesn't offer, and that is the surrounding support of love from friends and family. It's the visits, hugs, and outpour of love that can be the 'just what the doctor ordered' remedy. We do not want Rich to lose the fight and hope. Being home is not just what Rich needs, but Nancy as well. She has been going through this fight as well. Being married for over 50 years she is the rock of the family. And like any mother she stays strong for the family. Through there Faith in God they continue hand in hand in all endeavors life brings. It's time we try and bring them both home to Minnesota. Medicare will not cover any expenses related to transportation home. Medical Air Transport is willing to fly him home, but at a high cost. With support from family and friends that step can become closer. The burden with medical bills will continue after transportation which is approximately $25,000.
