Help Ricardo Valencia

Two minor league baseball players from Venezuela are seeking help for their father Ricardo Valencia who is in dire need of a total hip replacement. Unlike major league players who are paid a substantial salary, minor league players receive very little. Mr. Valencia has been suffering with this degenerative condition for 5 years and has been unable to work for two years. His doctors have told him that if he doesn't have this surgery by the end of this year, he will be permanently bound to a wheelchair. Due to the economic situation in Venezuela, their family has difficulty meeting their basic needs, much less paying for a surgery such as this. Your donations will be used to cover the expense of the surgery and his rehabilitation. Your help is desperately needed so that Mr. Valencia can return to work and be able to provide for his family.  Our goal is to raise the money by the end of September so that Mr. Valencia can have his surgery as soon as possible. His son, Ricky, will be receiving the funds from this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of his father.

My name is Katelyn Houser and I have known Mr. Valencia's oldest son for three years through his time with the minor league baseball team in my hometown. During this time, I have grown very close to Mr. Valencia and his family. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
