<div>We are Reysol Coffee Roasters, a family-owned Colombian coffee company with two shops in New Jersey — in Ridgewood and Morristown. Our family's roots in Colombia's coffee mountains go back six generations, and home for us is Balboa, Risaralda. The families of Risaralda and Balboa are the reason we carry our story so strongly — the farmers who grow our beans, the neighbors who raised us, the people we represent in every cup we pour here. And because we represent them in our shops every day, we have to stand with them now, when they need us most.

<div>On August 10, 2026, a powerful earthquake — the strongest in Colombia in a decade — tore through the coffee region of Risaralda, and Balboa was hit hard. Homes cracked, roofs caved in, and families are sleeping outside tonight, afraid to return to unstable walls. The need is urgent, and every day matters.

<div>We have been working directly with the Balboa fire department (Cuerpo de Bomberos), who have gone house to house to document exactly which homes were compromised by the quake. Because of their assessment, we know precisely where help needs to go — and the two most urgent needs right now are:

<div>Tarps to cover the more than 600 homes that were partially damaged, protecting families from the rain while repairs begin.

<div>Tents for the families who lost their homes entirely and have nowhere to sleep.

<div>Every dollar will go directly to Balboa through our own trusted local network and verified partners on the ground, and we will share photos and receipts every step of the way so you can see exactly how your support reaches these families.

<div>You can also feel confident knowing that we are directly overseeing the entire process, from collection to distribution. Donations are shipped to our friends' headquarters in Colombia and then distributed by our Reysol Coffee Roasters team on the ground, in coordination with the local fire department. We stay in close communication with them, and they provide us with details on the affected homes and families — including household size and whether there are children — so we can make sure help reaches those who need it most.

Las casas se agrietaron, los techos se derrumbaron, y esta noche hay familias durmiendo a la intemperie, con miedo de volver a paredes inestables. La necesidad es urgente, y cada día cuenta.

<div>Hemos estado trabajando directamente con el Cuerpo de Bomberos de Balboa, quienes han ido casa por casa para documentar exactamente cuáles viviendas resultaron afectadas por el terremoto. Gracias a su evaluación, sabemos con precisión hacia dónde debe dirigirse la ayuda — y las dos necesidades más urgentes en este momento son:
