<div>My mom, Marta Guinand, was on her way to Florida on April 24th 2026 from McAllen to attend my brother’s graduation at Florida International University but before she could board her flight, she was stopped by Customs Border Patrol and taken to a detention center without any clear reasoning. She has been in the US for more than 11 years, waiting for her political asylum interview to be processed. She has a valid work permit, drivers license, has been following the law and contributing to our community. This has been a shocking and stressful experience for our family, especially since we have always done everything the right way.

<div>She missed one of the most important family moments of our lives, and now we need help getting her home. We are facing mounting legal fees, bond costs, and other unexpected expenses as we try to bring Marta home and reunite our family.
