Help reunite Florence with her 13 year old son

Florence* has a 13-year-old son Emmanuel, who is currently alone in Ghana, but she did not have the £2,500 required in Home Office immigration and health surcharge fees to bring him here
In July 2018 Florence received a call to say that her boy was about to be left on the streets of Accra unless she came to take him. Emmanuel had been in the care of Florence’s sister, who had recently died. Although born in London, at the time of his birth Florence was without status in the UK (meaning that Emmanuel is not recognised as a British citizen).
Florence now has another young child to take care of, Angelica who has life limiting medical needs. Treatment for Angelicas condition would not be possible in Ghana, but in the UK it can be managed. So Florence is stuck between a rock and a hard place. If she returns to Ghana permanently, her daughter cannot continue with her medical treatment and will die. If she does not, her son Emmanuel will remain alone in Ghana, in the care of strangers until their good will is exhausted and he is cast out onto the streets.
We are fully aware that Florence and Emmanuel are just two of the many victims of the hostile environment that has put endless inhumane obstacles in the way of family reunification. We know that this should be a basic human right in any civilised society. So whilst we and others work to challenge the system we also want to do what we can to help Florence and Emmanuel now! So please do give what you can.
Thanks to your amazing generosity we raised the £2,500 required in for immigration fees and got Home Office permission back in March. We now need a last push to raise money for flights now that travel has resumed.
