Help Restore UpBeat Music and Arts School!

On Tuesday, November 19th, a bank robbery suspect led police into the UpBeat Music and Arts Studio where our student intern was shot, our facility was damaged and our community was rocked by violence. We are inviting you to help us rebuild and restore UpBeat so that we can continue to have a positive impact for youth in Chicago by mentoring through the arts.
There was a substantial amount of damage to our Music School, including equipment, contents, and to the studio itself. The funds raised on this GoFundMe page will help cover the costs of the damage, the interruption of programs, and additional support for our staff and students needed following this senseless and random incident. In addition, we will be donating 20% of the funds raised directly to support Rylan's medical costs.
As we continue to process this tragic incident and work towards healing as individuals and as an organization, we are more committed today than ever before to providing mentoring and music education to our Chicago youth.
We are humbled by the love and support from the community and determined to continue helping students reach their full potential in life THROUGH music. Thank you for your support and encouragement! Any additional funds raised beyond our goal will go towards the UpBeat Student Scholarship Fund.
