<div><strong>Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are reaching out to you amidst difficult times. My Dad, Pankaj, recently encountered a life-altering challenge. Following a cycling accident, he sustained a C4 level spinal cord injury which has been categorised as the most severe (Grade A on the ASIA impairment scale). This has significantly impaired the mobility of his entire body below his shoulders.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Those who know Pankaj will know his boundless energy, enthusiasm, and zest for life. Cycling through picturesque landscapes, conquering marathons, and exploring the outdoors have been his passions, his sources of joy, and his avenues for self-expression. As his daughter, I have always been taught to live life to the fullest and confront adversity with strength. He is now living this by example.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For an avid athlete with a passion for adventure, it's a huge blow to not even be able to lift a finger. Yet, despite the immense physical limitations he faces, Pankaj’s spirit and optimism remain brighter than ever and his unwavering belief in recovery remains strong. Still, even the strongest among us need a helping hand sometimes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The rehabilitation and recovery is a long journey. Pankaj’s injury is so severe that he requires advanced medical equipment and continuous, intensive therapy for the best chance of recovery. Only a limited time in rehab was covered by the NHS (National Health Service in the UK), so we will now have to consider private treatment for continued rehabilitation. We are determined to give Pankaj the best shot at recovery, but with a sudden loss of income, these medical expenses are substantial and not possible for us to cover alone. We are therefore humbly asking for your support to help us cover the costs for specialised physiotherapy, adaptive equipment and wheelchair friendly home modifications that will support his recovery and improve his quality of life. Every donation, no matter the size, means the world. It will help buoy us on the path towards recovery and help Pankaj reclaim his independence, both personally and professionally.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for your unwavering support, prayers, and encouragement. You have carried us through some of our toughest and darkest days and shown us the strength of community. Your love and support has given us faith that Pankaj’s comeback will be so much stronger than this setback.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>With heartfelt gratitude,</strong>
</div>
