Known for their addicting muffins and rockin’ open mic nights, Indian Shores is a beloved, community-oriented coffee shop that brings joy to hundreds of thousands of people. On Thursday, September 26th, Indian Shores Coffee Company experienced four to five feet of storm surge from Hurricane Helene that destroyed the floor, subfloor, counters, plumbing, electrical wiring, walls, and all operating equipment of the business. Damage is currently estimated at between $75,000 and $150,000 with a recovery timeline of three to six months. Closing during peak season adds an incalculable burden of revenue loss to the already devastating damages.
