My name is Nina, and I’m raising funds to restore my dad’s 1983 Blazer so I can drive it to Feather River College in Quincy, California, where I’ll be starting my studies in Equine Science in the fall of 2025. This car is more than just a way to get to class—it’s a piece of my family’s history. My dad used this Blazer during his own college days, and some of my favorite memories are of us driving together through winding canyons, listening to our favorite playlists with artists like The Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Cage the Elephant. Those drives are a core memory for me, and I dream of seeing the Blazer back on the road, carrying on our family’s tradition with old-school American muscle cars—a passion that runs on both sides of our family.

The Blazer needs a new engine, transmission, suspension, body work, and new tires to be safe and reliable for the long drive to Quincy, which is eight hours from home. Having a sturdy vehicle like this is especially important because it snows in Quincy, and I’ll need something dependable to get around safely during the winter months. My goal is to have the car ready by December 31st, before the end of my first semester. This is a project I would like to take on my own, and I’m asking for your help to make this dream a reality. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Restoring this car isn’t just about transportation; it’s about keeping a piece of Generation X alive for my family and making my college journey even more meaningful. With your support, I’ll be able to say, “That’s the car I drove to college, just like my dad.” Every contribution will help bring this dream to life and keep our family’s legacy rolling for another generation.
