<div>The beautiful Dovestone landscape has been devastated by a major wildfire that continues to burn across the moorland. Firefighters, mountain rescue volunteers and partner agencies have worked around the clock in extremely dangerous conditions to contain the blaze, protect nearby communities and prevent further destruction. As of today, firefighting operations are still ongoing, with specialist wildfire teams continuing to tackle hotspots across the moor.

<div>To support the organisations working to restore Dovestone's wildlife and habitats while also recognising the emergency services and volunteers who have been on the frontline of this incident.

<div><strong>RSPB Dove Stone</strong> – helping restore damaged habitats, peatland, wildlife and ecosystems while supporting long-term conservation that can reduce future wildfire risks.

<div><strong>Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) </strong>– supporting firefighters through their official charitable initiatives and helping recognise the incredible response to this major wildfire.

<div><strong>Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT)</strong> – whose volunteers have provided vital assistance in difficult and hazardous terrain throughout the emergency.
