Help Restore a Young Star Wars Fan's Joy

Stolen with a broken heart.
We are raising our 12-year-old grandson and thought it was time he would enjoy the Disney World Star Wars experience. He had been saving his money for a long time and the first thing he wants to buy is a Lightsaber. He had many Kool-Aid stands on the corner of our house and saved all his Christmas and Birthday money. The first day we arrive, we visit Disney Spring and there he makes his purchase. I wouldn’t let him open the package as I didn’t want issues with bringing it on the plane. For seven days, he would hold the box in his hands in the hotel room waiting to open. He couldn’t wait to show his friends and experience his first sword fight.
Now the frustration and disappointment…
We are at the Orlando airport security and had issues getting through security and someone not decent or human steals our grandson’s lightsaber during our hold up at security.
We are just devastated!!! Security supervisor says we can file a police report, but we don’t have the time necessary before catching our flight.
Our grandson just sits on the plane with disappointment for our 4-hour flight home.
He won’t let me spend the money to buy him a new one as he feels it’s not my responsibility to replace it and he should have kept a better eye on it, keep in mind this was his first experience flying.
I am hopeful that a few can help bring back the excitement he lost this weekend. And decent humanity prevail
Update, we have reached our goal and today we have ordered a new lightsaber from the Disney Store, it will be arriving in 3-5 business days, We will post a picture when it arrives, Thank you everyone for the support and help. Much gratitude and appreciation for Seth and myself.
