Help Rescue Cats in Long Beach Get a Home

Tax deductible
Long Beach Felines is a non-profit cat rescue organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned, neglected and abused cats and kittens.  We take in stray cats and kittens and get them ready for adoption. We currently have over 20 cats and kittens in our care, and we're expanding our reach to support special needs cats as well.

Long Beach Felines is partnering with Feline Good Social Club to create a space in Long Beach where rescue cats can meet the community and find their forever homes. Unfortunately, city approval for the FGSC's cat lounge has been delayed and we need funds to keep our cats happy and healthy until they can be moved into the new space.

Your donations will go a long way in ensuring that healthy nutrition and socialization can be provided for the cats while they wait for their new home at Feline Good Social Club. Donations cover expenses such as:

-Cat food

-A safe and stimulating environment for the cats

- Vaccinations and spay/neuter fees

-Additional vet consultations as needed to keep the cats in good health

-Medicine to treat and prevent conditions like fleas/parasites

-Resource assistance for other local cat rescues

Why cat rescue is important (even if you're not a cat lover!):

Cat rescue efforts are vital not only for the health of cats, but also for the local community as well. Cats are an invasive species and can harm populations of native animals such as birds and small mammals. Limiting the number of feral cats in the community through spay/neuter and adoption efforts allows native animals to flourish in their natural habitats, as well as ensuring that the cats themselves are healthy and well-cared for.

Like many other small animals, cats are often prey to larger carnivores such as coyotes. Keeping the feral cat population small and adopting cats into safe, indoor-only homes discourages predators from entering residential neighborhoods to look for prey, and can help protect other pets as well.

Active spay/neuter efforts reduce the burden on city and county-run shelters of caring for additional animals.

Join us in creating a happier, healthier Long Beach for both the cats and the community!
