Hello, My name is Leah Golding and I am raising Funds for our Rescue Cat Sprout. Our goal is to raise enough money to be able to have a Skin Biopsy procedure completed to determine the underlying causes behind her issues; as well as get her dental work done while she is already under as she is a high risk for anathesia. This will be the start of helping to get Sprout finally out of her Cone and onesie and once again have freedom and Comfortability in life (she has been stuck in a cone for about a year and is getting depressed about it). Sprout came from a barn where she was locked in a small room and had never been taken to the vet before; except to be declawed and fixed. When we got her, her stomach was hairless. Sprout suffers severly with itchyness and dandruff; that doesn't sound so bad but it is! See, Sprout licks her stomach and arms RAW as well as pulls her fur out, which then bleeds, scabs and scars - which in turn causes infection, irritation and irreversible skin and fur growth damage. We've had her for about 1 year and a half. Throughout this journey we have tried numerous solutions with multiple vets incurring costly bills. Such as Steriods, diets, food restrictions, antibiotics etc. etc. The only temporary solution we have found so far is a Steriod which she should definitely not continue to take as it causes even more irreversible health problems with the possibility of death! It's very hard for me to ask for help, but if it's between my ego and helping Sprout, I'd chose helping Sprout anyday!
