Help Replace Leah's Work Tools

Donation protected
Please help this hard working mom and soon to be grandma replace her work tools! She is an amazing hair stylist, and it's taken her years to accumulate her hard earned hair cutting and styling equipment. Today, her vehicle was broken into and her equipment was stolen. She needs these tools in order to provide for her family. Anything you can do to help get her set to rights so she can keep working for her family would be greatly appreciated! Leah is a sweet friend and beautiful soul, always caring for others and helping out those in need. This summer she even came to the hospital to give my Uncle a haircut - it was the sweetest ever and made us all feel good. Now it is our turn to help lift her up, especially at this time of year. Please donate if you can, every bit no matter how small makes a difference in lifting up her spirit and replacing those tools.

Here's her story of what happened, let's help restore her smile today:
"My car was broken into today outside of Carr's. We noticed that my sons kindle fire tablet was missing first. We were pretty upset but then on my way to work I realized that they also took my case of scissors that I've had for twenty years . Six pair of cutting shears and two razors that I've worked with for years. I got to the shop and called to cancel my 3pm client. I went back to Carr's to see about cameras in the parking lot. They have none. I was told to go to APD website and file a police report. Just as I was leaving I notice two guys walking and the light blue cover of my son's tablet as he removed the cover and handed it to the other guy. I yelled at him, "hey that's my sons tablet, you stole it from my car. You have my work scissors" I pleaded, "I need them to work. " The one boy ran away while the other holding the tablet told me that he paid for it and he doesn't know that guy. I called APD to report the theft. Nothing more to do. How vulnerable and defeated a feeling. I was supposed to work today. The kids and I had just delivered a turkey vegetable soup to the Turkey meat and greet group to hand out to the homeless. My hope this morning as I made the soup was to share my love with everyone that had some. We had a crock pot ready with cups and spoons and my daughter cut tin foil to cover each cup. We went from feeling so good to share our blessing to so very disheartened in a matter of moments. Not sure why this happened. Maybe my scissors will turn up. Maybe something better. "
