Help replace car that caught fire within 20hrs.

“When Shanea was a child our van had a busted hose and we got stranded at a friend's. It smoked and we had to get out quickly. It was pretty traumatic for her. This morning Shanea drove away at 6:30am on her way to love on her friends sweet dog and then go to work. She was full of excitement and relief and maybe some mild nervousness about her new found Independence.

As she pulled off the highway and sat at the light to turn she smelled smoke. She tried to go forward but the vehicle was reluctant. She pulled over, grabbed her phone and jumped out of the car the call me. By the time she pulled over the smoke was black and pillowing from the hood. When she opened the door to step out there was oil and fire dripping from the bottom of the vehicle. Seconds later the vehicle was clearly on fire. She called me frantic and terrified. Her brand new vehicle and Independence was in flames. My sweet girl is SO smart. God gave her experience just for this moment. He saved her today because he loves her. Thank you God.”





****Update from mother 9/16/20****

“Because the car was purchased 'as is', with cash, the car lot owner refuses to have a heart  and do anything at all to help  the situation aside from sell us another of his cars at cost. Through sharing our story we've learned for the last 21 years this seems to be a trend at his dealership. We know we not get anywhere with him. Nor do we want to purchase another car from him and possibly put our child in danger again. Our Hope was that our full coverage insurance would cover the situation to some degree. But we  have learned there was a 24-hour waiting period, For that comprehensive coverage. And of course it happened in 20 hours so No coverage.
So now our only option is to proceed with legal services to recoup any sort of compensation. And of course that costs money that we no longer have since we spent our savings on that car."
