Second and Third degree burns caused by negligent Doctor

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brandi Neal and I live in Houston, Texas. On November 19, 2023 I went to Numed Urgent Clinic and because of the doctor’s negligence I ended up in the hospital 3 hours after taking the medication he prescribed. I told him I was allergic to the medication Diflucan and he prescribed me fluconazole and I trusted it and took it not knowing it was the same medication. I spent 3 days in the hospital and have been home recovering ever since. My hives turned to blisters that turned into 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over my legs, arms, face, neck, eyes, back and butt. So far I’ve been out of work for 67 days, and because I travel for work and the degree of the burns, I’ll most likely be out another 2 weeks.

Just three creams alone comes to $302/per month, also having to buy supplies just to make sure the skin is always moist and different soaps, having to wash my items more often, having to wear clothes that keep me completely covered it’s just been extremely hard to keep up with the financial burden. It’s been really hard for my physically, but even harder for me mentally.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! I truly would appreciate any help. Sharing the pictures with you so you can see the damage it’s done. I’m currently following my wound care doctor’s instructions but I was advised I can start working on the scarring. I really just want to be able to look myself in the mirror and not breakdown!

Funds will be used for medications and a laser therapy to help the third degree burns.

Update: June 2024

It’s going to take over a year to clear, they have added 4 more months of treatments.

I have to take a break from all lightening creams (3 month break)

The only thing he wants me doing is lasers & bio peels

Can not be outside from 10 - 3 pm, would prefer I’m only out after sunset.

Stay covered, continue to wear second skin on any exposed areas with patches. SPF 100, reapply every 90 - 120 mins
