Wow!! Thank you guys SO MUCH for your generous contributions! We are so thankful to those of you who have donated, and have allowed us to continue to work toward our goal. We wanted to update you guys on our progress and our pathforward.

After negotiations with our landlord to secure our storefront, we unfortunately weren’t able to reach an agreement and have sadly had to close our Snider Plaza location. We are currently looking for a new location in the northern Dallas area so that we can continue to serve our Park Cities friends! We are hoping to re-open later this summer or as soon as our funding will allow. We missyou guys terribly, but we are determined to be back at it soon!

100% of your contributions will go toward the re-opening of BAKED, including securing a new storefront and related expenses, and rebuilding our staff and clientele. We will be re-opening in a new location but with the same recipes and products that people have grown to love and expect from us.

HELP RE-OPEN BAKED: A DALLAS WOMAN-OWNED BUSINESS

For over 10 years, Toni Rivard has been the owner of our small Dallas bakery. As a female small business owner, she has built her clientele the best way she knows how... by making connections with the community and A LOT of OMG Chocolate Chip Cookies and her famous Cakeballs. And while the service industry continues to suffer from the economic effects of a global pandemic, at BAKED we have focused in on a new mission: to continue serving our loyal customers and re-open our storefront.  

Toni started as a dessert caterer in Southern California and brought her unique homemade recipes to Dallas when she opened Cremé de la Cookie in 2009. Under our new name, BAKED by Toni Rivard has become a Park Cities favorite, and our Cakeballs, Cinnamon Rolls and Award Winning OMG Chocolate Chip Cookies are celebratory MUST HAVES for our loyal customers.

While the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have been devastating to the Dallas restaurant industry, we have been extremely blessed by the support we have received from our community and from our friends. Our staff may be smaller now, but graciously we have been able to safely serve our customers via contactless delivery and curbside pickup for the last few months. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without your generosity and support.

For this reason, when faced with the possibility of having to close our doors, we have decided instead to find a new path forward and continue to safely serve our community... because YOU have been there for US.

My name is Desera Moore, customers know me as Dez the Decorator here at BAKED. I have been baking and decorating cakes since childhood, and professionally for the last seven years. As a graduate of Dallas’ El Centro Institute of Food and Hospitality, I have worked in bakeries since the age of 16, and have spent my entire career working toward the goal of owning my own. I have fallen in love with BAKED and with the community we serve. Determined to save our business, I am hoping to partner with Toni to help grow our business and to fully reopen, whether at our current location in Snider Plaza or at another location within our community. I am determined that the story of our future here in Dallas will be one of success and overcoming adversity.

The road ahead isn’t without obstacles. Due to our loss of personnel, we were unfortunately unable to secure a PPP Grant and find ourselves unable to afford the staff we need to fully and safely re-open our doors.

Friends and loyal customers - we want to thank you again for your continued support though this transition. If you are able to contribute to our mission, our staff and families would be forever grateful. 100% of the contributions will be used to secure our storefront by paying rent, employee salaries and safely re-opening for regular business. Funds raised will be used to bring back furloughed staff and to cover losses we have experienced over the last few months. Your contributions would help us get back to what we do best - making the best chocolate chip cookies in the world and serving our community.
