HELP RENEE MCNABB BEAT MS!

Donation protected
This lovely lady is my friend and "sister" Renee (Mayne) McNabb. She's a beautiful caring, loving and giving 51-year-old woman who was stricken with a severe case of Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS) almost 18 years ago and together, we can help change her life!

Renee's is an amazing woman! She's an intelligent, hard-working, little Italian spitfire with a great sense of humor that loves life and is always on the go... well she used to be until she was rear-ended twice in the same year; once by a semi truck, neither being her fault.

She had never been sick a day in her life and within a couple of years of the accidents, she began developing difficulty using her hands and legs and on January 15, 2001, was officially diagnosed with this devastating form of Multiple Sclerosis.

Renee didn’t immediately apply for government assistance… in fact, she waited 8 YEARS to file for social security disability, a system she invested throughout her working life which began at 16. She didn't want a "handout" and refused to believe this disease was going to debilitate her so quickly and severely. Her biggest goal is to be able to work and help others again!

She's always been there when family and friends needed her as well as strangers. She's got a heart of gold and needs your help now!

She has become so severely debilitated over the last 10 years that she's now bedridden just about all of the 24 hours in a day. She is in constant pain, cannot use her right hand at all and her left hand is getting weaker each day. We're praying that the stem cell treatment to stop it from getting any worse.

Thankfully, she can get up and go to the bathroom and kitchen (with the aid of a walker), but she is unable to stand, walk independently, cook a meal, bathe in a tub and can only take a shower while sitting on a chair. It is next to impossible for her to enter and exit the shower (where she bathes in a chair) on her own.

Renee graduated from Dorsey Business School twice; the first time was in 1987 for data processing and earned her second diploma in 1999 (at 30 years old) as a Computer Applications Specialist. Upon graduation, she worked for with me for several years until it became too difficult for her to write, type and use a mouse. She gave up driving not long after that which makes it impossible to work anywhere onsite and can't afford a computer and internet to work from home.

Renee and her husband divorced in 2016 but she has had to continue to live with him because she can in no way afford a place of her own and he is her sole caretaker. She is in physical therapy to learn to walk unaided again, but needs assistance with the daily things we all do that and take for granted.

RENEE AT HOME ~ SEPTEMBER 2018

Because of her situation, she is under constant stress (a leading causes of MS patient relapse and their condition worsening), and it’s clearly having a devastating effect on her! Every dollar you donate will directly help Renee to live a fuller, more fruitful and rewarding life. We are  SO very grateful for every person who can help and let her know how truly loved and important she is.

It is our greatest hope and vision that she becomes as independent, comfortable and self-sufficient as possible, as she was before this horrible disease took her freedom, mobility, way of life, job, income, happiness and peace of mind.

RENEE WITH HER NIECES ~ 2017

Renee absolutely hates not being able to work and she is essentially a prisoner in her own home (99% of the time alone in her bedroom) and the thing she misses most is getting out and helping others!

She has NEVER asked for nor received anything from charities or nonprofits. She has never gone to a church or distribution center for a food or assistance (although she has more than qualified on numerous occasions).

Despite all of the changes in her life, the incessant pain and tingling numbness throughout her body, losing her balance and well as the ability to walk unassisted, she always has a smile on her face, cheer in her voice and continues to support those in need in any way she can.

She is truly an inspiration to those who know her and the many people whose lives she's touched!

RENEE, HER MOM, SISTER & BROTHER ~ 2017

Renee's most recent MRI showed that not only are there are even more lesions (damage) on her brain and they have now started progressing to her spine.  So many significant changes have taken place since her initial diagnosis, there is no more time to wait for her to get a chance at a possible cure, and it’s (we pray) going to come in the form of a new stem cell treatment!

We have found a reputable company that does them here in southeastern Michigan with a record of success, but it costs over $12,000 for the first treatment (which will hopefully be the last!). There is no way she could ever afford it on her own, hopefully we can all come together to give her this gift of hope and a chance at a better life!

The additional funds will be used for important changes in her life; a handicapped-equipped home of her own to rent (and build a ramp if necessary); an account with a cushion for necessary medications, medical care and treatment; help with day-to-day expenses such as groceries, utilities, phone, etc.; a computer and internet service so she’s not cut off from the modern world and can hopefully find work in the near future; transportation costs (Uber, taxi, SMART Bus, etc.).

Any of these improvements alone would make a tremendous difference for Renee, but if everyone who read this donated just $5, we could dramatically change her life! Your support matters and together, we can help Renee her to regain her independence and beat this horrible, debilitating disease!

Please be sure to share this link to this page on your Facebook, Twitter and social network pages and groups; email it to your family and friends and message it your contacts!

We thank you SO VERY MUCH in advance for your generosity! May God bless you!

Sincerely and Gratefully,
Renee (Mayne) McNabb & Monica (Monique) Archibald

P.S.- Here's a link to a great Stem Cell Treatment Video. It also will tell you what MS is and how devastating it can be to those afflicted with the disease.
